At The End Of 3 Months of Training

  • Strikes / Defending Strikes

    • Straight punch / palm strike
    • Horizontal elbows
    • Hammer strikes
    • Regular front kick, knee, defensive kick, side kick
    • Defend vs straight punch to head (inside defence)
    • 360 Defence
  • Armed Situations

    • Knife threat (mid range with escape)
    • Defend against circular knife attacks
    • Using shield like object (e.g. back pack) to protect
  • Holds and Grabs

    • Chokes release (front, side, back)
    • Headlock release
    • Arm bar release
    • Carotid hold release
  • Defending on the Ground

    • Getting up off the ground (forward, backward)
    • Escaping chokes on the ground
  • Multiple Attackers and Protecting Others

    • Zombie game (multiple attacker principle)

At The End Of 6 Months of Training

  • Strikes / Defending Strikes

    • Hooks and upper cuts
    • All elbow strikes
    • Roundhouse kicks
    • Inside defenses vs straight punches
    • Outside defences vs punches
    • Kick defences using legs
  • Armed Situations

    • Defend against knife threat 
    • Defend against circular knife attacks
    • Defend against straight knife attacks from front
    • Defend against blunt objedt (e.g. hammer) downward attack
  • Holds and Grabs

    • Wrist releases
    • Bear hug releases
  • Defending on the Ground

    • Chokes on ground
    • Soft break fall front and back
    • Front and back roll
  • Multiple Attackers and Protecting Others

    • Defend against multiple attackers

At The End Of 1 Year of Training

  • Strikes / Defending Strikes

    • Combination of hand and leg strikes in all directions
    • Defend random hand and leg strikes
    • Defend vs circular knife attacks
    • Defend vs close range knife threat (no immediate escape)
    • Defenc vs blunt objects vertical and horizontal swings
  • Armed Situations

    • Introduction to disarming knife attackers
    • Defend against slashes, circular and straight knife stabs – various directions
    • Defending against gun threat from the front
  • Holds and Grabs

    • Escape from guillotine and full nelson
    • Escape from headlocks on the ground
    • Using sharp objects to defend yourself
    • Defending from a sitting position
  • Defending on the Ground

    • Chokes on ground
    • Soft break fall front and back
    • Front and back roll
  • Multiple Attackers and Protecting Others

    • Defend against armed and unarmed attackers
